July 15 – Day 74      Neka Bay

It clearly rained during the night.  It can rain at night but please be clear during the day.  

The morning sky was bright with blue tints peaking through the clouds. 

Went fishing again and this time came home with another small halibut but the winner was Michelle with a 33 pounder. We'll wait till this afternoon to process.

 

We moved over to Neka Bay in Port Frederick and anchored in an area with about 1,000 crab pots.  The mere fact that there are crab pots means that someone thinks there are crab here.  So our crab and prawn pots went down.

There was an Eagle watching every move Glen and Steve made while filleting the fish.   So the fish heads, guts etc… were taken over to the beach and laid out on the rocks for the Eagle and it's buddies for their dinner.   It took a while but we ended up with 3 adult and 1 juvenile eagle having dinner.  There clearly was a 'pecking order' amongst them as they were squabbling and going from rock to rock, pushing the present diner off the rock.   We tried to take some photos but we were just a bit too far away for any good ones.
