Aug 13 – Day 103 Havenor Inlet

 Aug 13 – Day 103  Havenor Inlet

It is sunny and hot.

Anchored in Havenor Inlet.  Put crab pots down.  The place is loaded with hungry horse flies, so spent most of the afternoon inside with the AC on.   Did take an exploration tour of the area, especially the inlet toward the lagoon.   Found the rapids, but the tide was not right for going over the falls into the lagoon.  Well, we could have gone in but getting back out, up over the falls would have been a bit tricky.  There was talk of Steve and Glen going back later for another look.

The rapids we decided not to run through.

Water Totem

Checked the pots, Nelsea – zero, Magic – two large (7 ½ and 8 inch) keepers.  Put the pots back down and the keepers in the crab hotel.

Steve thought It looked like a good day to go swimming – water temp in high 50’s, so put on his wetsuit and cleaned the bottom of Nellie.   Afterwards Michelle cleaned up the top of Steve.

Steve gets a trim

There was a slight breeze in the late afternoon so Glen, Michelle and I played cribbage on the back deck of Magic.

Interesting clouds

We heard that it was close to 100 degrees at home, glad it’s not that hot here.
