Day 32 - June 16 Higgens Passage
It is raining again, go figure. In the afternoon the weather cleared a bit but it was still cold.
Tom had been out fishing but did not catch anything. On his way back he spotted ‘Drag’n’ heading out for an adventure so he followed us.
We went into the ‘lagoon’ and started scouring the beaches for treasures. Our boat load included Dave, Steve and Michelle, and of course Glen and I. We came back with a bunch of plastic fishing floats. Several with writing on them what appears to be Japanese.
We are only about 1 mile inside, from the ocean. On our way yesterday Michelle and I spotted land way off in the distance, and we tried to claim that it was Japan. Ok maybe not but it made for a good story.
Now this is a large Muscle shell. They grow very large here.
The little blue one is a match to the one Michelle got on a previous trip.
Some of Steve’s treasures on display
On today’s adventure we saw a few birds; wood ducks, some we could not identify, and then about a group of about 7-8 Sandhill Cranes.
The evening included bright sun on the trees and very reflective water. Indeed beautiful. Sorry no photos from me.
