Day 28 – June 12 Rait Narrow Cove to Raven Cove – Part 1
Only a 6 mile run today, one step closer to Shearwater.
Arrived and it looks like crab and prawn country, out go the pots.
Adventure day. We all jumped into the two aluminum two behinds (Drag’n and Debt) and headed out. We went up an inlet and really didn’t see much other than shallow water, rocks, and trees. Oh wait, we found a sunken boat complete with motor. Someone had a bad day or used this as their junk yard.
One of the boats (Drag’n) and crew being socially conscience (LOL) went to several beaches to comb for treasures. Treasures found and brought back included a good number of fishing net floats – the small foam type, a couple larger foam floats as used for crab pot marking, and one medium-sized black hard plastic fishing ball float. The team found a bundle of about 100 of the small fishing floats connected to a bunch of net but left that behind.
Enough floats to outfit a fishing boat – photo only shows about ¼ of them
