July 7 - Seven Fathom Bay

July 7 –  Goddard to Seven Fathom Bay

Started the day with baking cranberry muffins – I was getting flak for not baking lately.

The fishing crew were all out.  Nellie was the catching boat again.   Glen did bring back some cod which will be tasty.  About noon the fisher people were back and we headed out.  Short cruise and hot day.

Hey we want to go back, this bay is a bit windy and there are more bugs.   We’ll live.    This bay has another one of the rental cabins.   Quite a nice one big enough to sleep about 10.   It has a brand new deck and ADA approved ramp.   The beach however is not ADA compliant.  There was also a brand new pit toilet nearby.  Great fire pit with benches.  There were Huckleberries and Blueberries all over the place ‘a pickers paradise’.  Picked about another 1 1/3 quarts.   14 of us ventured over to the cabin and had another pot luck dinner with meat on a stick cooked over the open fire.
