July 22 - Port Frederick to Gustavus

July 22 – Port Frederick to Gustavus

The group split up into three groups this morning.  Miner’s Debt heading out for fishing.  Sea Jay, Spirit Bear, and Noon Balloon sitting put for another night and then who knows.  Magic and Sea Life headed toward Glacier Bay.  We hope to be in for our orientation class at 8am in the morning.  We’ll miss the Birthday celebration for Cheryl on Sea Jay tonight.  Happy Birthday Cheryl!

Crew for this leg of the trip:   Magic – Shawn and his girlfriend Kat.   Sea Life – Ted and Jeanie.

The water today was a bit lumpy, making it not all that pleasant for me, but I made it through with a nap.  The only critters we saw today were sea otters, and the large sun star that we caught in the crab pot.

We anchored off Gustavus, so getting to the park should be easy in the morning.

Hoping for more whales, glaciers calving, and lots of Ice for our Glacier Ice Martinis
