July 3 – Sitka
Up early, the sun is out and it looks like it will be a warm day. We are headed into Sitka for the Holiday festivities.
Val was the first up on Sea Life. In much better spirits than last night. Meds are her friend. The fracture was a very clean nondisplaced fracture so the prognosis is good. Her crab pot pulling days are over for this trip however.
Sitka is full of these ‘small’ boats. You can charter this one for a starting price of $190,000 per week.
And some amazing and some odd houses.
Shawn competed in the US Fencing Association – Nationals today in Dallas, TX. If I am reading the results correctly he placed 35th out of 203 competitors. Not bad for not really competing at that level for a few years due to an injury. Shawn’s scores were 15/10, 15/10, 14/15 (first number is his score the second his opponents). The guy that won and took Shawn out of the completion it appears ended up number 1 at the end of the day. Apparently Shawn scored ‘more points’ on him than anyone else who competed against the guy. Good Job Shawn!
