June 19 – El Capitan  - Father’s Day

Woke up to yet another sunny day.  There was fog hovering on the hill tops but as the morning progressed the fog all dissipated, it’s going to be a warm day. 

Happy Father’s Day to all you dads.

We cooked Belgium waffles, sausage, and fruit on the dock this morning for the Dad’s day breakfast.

Then the caver’s headed up the hill to join their guides for a tour of the cave.   The rest stayed back on the dock, did a bit of walking on shore, but mostly sat in the sun reading.  It was a bathing-suit warm day.

 

Both groups had a good time.  The first time cavers (Willard and Diane) thoroughly enjoyed the adventure and learned a lot about the caves history and rocks.   Evidence of life (animal, humans, etc…) date back 10,000 years in this cave.
