June 17 – Jim’s Birthday and Nat & Linda’s 49th Anniversary
Edna Harbor
We did some exploring and Diane, Glen and I took a walk on shore but didn’t see much. I did come to the conclusion that we must always carry a zip lock back in our pocket so when we are on shore and we find ripe berries we can pick more than just a mouth full. This time it was Salmon Berries big plump sweet Salmon Berries.
The fisherman went out again, and came home with 2 King Salmon (10-15 lbs each), several Halibut and one Cod. There was a fish processing frenzy (clean, cut, bag, and freeze) on a couple boats.
Most of the group broke up and had dinner on their own but dessert was all together on Nelsea. Linda J. tried her hand and Angel Food cake again, this time after some counsel she cooked the cake without the topping mixed in. So it was Angel Food Cake topped with hot apple pie filling and a drizzle of caramel sauce. Or for some it was cake with chocolate sauce.
Dinner was late so after dessert most went to bed. But the Miner’s joined us on Magic for movie night.
