June 5 - Day 36 Soda Bay --- Flora and Fauna Day
Part 1
The rain stopped for a bit so we went for our exploration tour. Reportedly there are soda springs with warm (up to 70 degrees) water. We walked all over the woods but never found the warm water. But did find large areas where there was lots of water bubbling out of the ground, or pools of water with orangish/red sediment. Some from small mounds, and all with iron rich ground all around. Most of those areas were void of vegetation. But nearby there were lots of small flowers among the greens.
I found the number of different flowers interesting. Below are some samples, there were others too.
