5/31 - While pulling anchors
etc... I did not seem them but was told that there was a momma bear and twin
cubs on the shoreline. We broke up the group
and pulled out about 9:30am.
Two boats headed off toward
Wrangle, two toward Kasaan Bay, and Magic back to Ketchikan where we plan on
picking up Pete, Linda, and Dean for a weekend out of town and back on a
boat. It appears that their repairs will
possibly take another week. No work is
done on the weekends and so we want to get them outta town.
While in Ketchikan we did a bit
of grocery shopping before picking up the new crew. Once
aboard we headed over to Kasaan Bay on Kasaan Island. Kept calling Miners Debt and Panacea but they
never answered, either could not hear us or were ignoring us. We anchored and had a night evening with
Dean and the Jung's. It is sure good to
see them relaxing and not thinking about their boat troubles.
Dinner then home movies/slide
show to them where we've been. Then off
to bed.
