September 1 - Day 124 Spicer to Port Canaveral Cove

September 1 – Day 124     Spicer to Port Canaveral Cove

I was up early again this morning.  Next was Willard then Glen.  They left Diane sleeping, untied Sea Life and headed out fishing.  I’m sure that as soon as they started those engines she was awake.    Since I’m not really into bobbing around fishing I stayed back on Magic.   The hope is to get a Halibut or two.  Diane has not caught one yet so she’ll be ready.

The plan for today is to fish, prawn, and not much else.

After a few hours of bobbing around ‘fishing’ they brought Sea Life back to the Mother ship Magic.  They saw one whale, and a group of seals.  Oh and no fish were caught.

Our moorage location was great out of the wind, with rocks sticking up around at low tide.  We were down to 10 feet below the keel at the lowest point.   We saw one Mink like critter running along the beach, a few birds, and a group of seals lounging on a rock.  More Rock Water and Trees, yep that’s it Rock Water and Trees.  We could hear what sounded like a small waterfall at the end of the inlet and Glen thought there might be a small lake in the woods, but no adventuring was done to check that out.

Willard kept calling this Cape Canaveral, that would have been a really wrong turn, Willard.  J

Set out the prawn pots and went fishing outside of Squalli Island, no luck.

The sunset was again beautiful.
