July 6 - Swanson Harbor
We docked in Swanson Harbor at a dock that is just
anchored in the bay. Swanson is about 10
miles east of Glacier Bay. Glen took
Debbie and Robert for a long dinghy ride to Hoonah to see if they would have
the zip line open. Nope .... only open
on days when the cruise ships come to town.
So no need to go to Hoonah this year.
While they were gone, I worked on some 'home work' and
took photos of a Eagle that was sitting on the beach not far from the
boats. Katie, the Jung's daughter
picked a bunch of 'Beach Asparagus'. It
isn't very good fresh, we tried it. But
apparently the locals say that it is good sautéed. Actually the Jung's tried it cooked and said
it wasn't bad.
We got some great photos of an Eagle.
